Comparison
Alternative to food cost platforms for groups
Food cost platforms start at head office: dashboards, forecasts, variances. The data, though, is produced on site every day — often with no tool at all.
Where it jams
Dirty input data
Skipped stock counts and missing delivery notes make any month-end dashboard useless.
Nothing for the team
A chef does not use a dashboard: they use a tablet in the kitchen, if there is one.
Compliance out of scope
HACCP, cleaning and traceability stay on paper or in a second system.
Long rollouts
Weeks of paid onboarding before the first number appears.
How we handle it
1. Data is born on site
Goods receiving with invoice reading, guided stock counts and losses recorded as they happen.
2. A station in the kitchen
The tablet station gives the team tasks, temperatures and labels, so data arrives with the work.
3. Explainable variances
Theoretical against actual, broken down by losses, consumption and recipes.
