Connect and configure a Brother label printer
How to pair a Brother 62 mm roll printer with a station and start printing labels.
Klyra prints HACCP labels through dedicated Brother printers loaded with continuous 62 mm rolls. Before printing the first label you need to connect the printer to the correct station and check its status with a test print.
Physical and network connection
The printer can be connected via USB to the printing device or over the local network, shared between several stations at the same site. Network connection is preferable when several people need to print from the same kitchen without swapping cables.
Pairing the printer with a station
Every station in the app, for example the kitchen or the goods receiving desk, can have a reference printer assigned. This way, when someone prints a label from that station, the job always goes to the right printer without choosing it every time.
- Printer-station pairing saved once
- Several printers possible per site
- Quick switch in case of a temporary fault
Loading the 62 mm roll correctly
A roll loaded crooked or a dirty print head is the most common cause of unreadable or badly cut labels. Always check the roll feeds straight and the print head is clean before starting an intensive printing session.
Test print
After every connection or roll change, run a test print to check text alignment, QR readability and correct label cutting before printing in bulk.

- Labels print faint → dirty print head or lower-quality roll → clean the head and use original 62 mm rolls.
- Text prints misaligned from the edge → roll loaded crooked → reopen the compartment and reload the roll following the guides.
- The printer prints from the wrong station → outdated printer-station pairing → correct the pairing in station settings.
