Why KlyraOS asks for camera and notifications, how to enable them and what changes if you decline on Android.
Two permissions make KlyraOS truly useful on the ground: the camera to photograph documents and read QR codes, and notifications to alert you about deadlines, shifts and messages. Without these permissions the app still works, but you lose the fastest features.
The camera is used to photograph delivery notes and invoices during goods receiving, to take photos for HACCP tasks, and to read batch QR codes in traceability. It is the same permission, used in different parts of the app depending on where you are.
Push notifications alert you about published shifts, clock-in correction requests, upcoming HACCP deadlines and new messages in communication. If you disable them, that information remains visible in the app but you lose the instant alert on your phone.
If you declined a permission by mistake on first launch, you do not need to reinstall the app: fix it from your phone settings, under apps and permissions. In a browser, the camera permission is asked again the first time it is actually needed, for example when opening the scanner.
Does KlyraOS work without granting camera access?
Yes, but you will not be able to photograph documents or read batch QR codes: you will need to enter data manually.
Why do I receive notifications outside working hours?
Some notifications, such as clock-in correction requests, are meant to be timely: you can still personalise some of them from your profile.
Do notifications also work on app.getklyra.com in a browser?
It depends on the browser and operating system: support depends on the browser and operating system.
