Connect and manage HACCP temperature sensors
Link a probe to equipment, protect its token, read status, battery and alerts, and troubleshoot an offline sensor.
Automatic sensors create a continuous temperature history without replacing human review of anomalies. Before connecting one, its equipment must be active, temperature monitoring must be enabled, and minimum and maximum thresholds must be correct.

Prepare the equipment

Create or open the fridge, cold room or refrigerated counter, enable temperature monitoring and check its thresholds. Only active monitored equipment can be selected.
Register the probe
Enter a name, vendor, optional external ID, calibration offset, alert persistence and the delay after which the probe is considered offline.
Protect the token
Klyra displays a secret key once when the sensor is created. Copy it directly into the device configuration and never place it in shared documents. If lost, rotate it and update the physical probe immediately.
Read the statuses
Online means a reading arrived within the configured delay; Offline means the probe has been silent for longer; Out of range remains visible while temperature is beyond limits. The list also shows latest reading, battery and calibration.
What this guide covers
- sensori temperatura
- monitoraggio automatico
- token dispositivo
- allarme fuori soglia
- sonda offline
Steps
- Open HACCP > Sensors and make sure monitored equipment exists
- Choose Add sensor and link the correct equipment
- Set calibration, alert persistence and offline delay
- Create the sensor and immediately copy the one-time token
- Configure the device to send readings to the displayed endpoint
- Wait for the first reading and check status, temperature and battery
Common issues
- You cannot add a sensor → no active equipment has monitoring enabled → update the equipment first
- The sensor is offline → no data arrived within the configured delay → check power, network and configuration
- You lost the token → it cannot be displayed again → rotate it and update the device
- Temperature is consistently offset → calibration is wrong → compare with a reference instrument and adjust it
Frequently asked questions
Can I view the token again?
No. It is shown once for security; if lost, rotate it and reconfigure the device.
When is a sensor shown as offline?
When no reading arrives within the configured minutes; the default is 120 minutes.
