Connect your till (POS) to Klyra and authorise access
How to connect your point-of-sale till to Klyra, authorise access, and confirm sales data is flowing correctly.
Connecting your till to Klyra lets sales be imported automatically instead of typed in by hand, feeding food cost, inventory and finance reports with real numbers. The connection needs an explicit authorisation and should be checked before you rely on the imported data.
Before you start
Make sure you have admin rights on the till in use and the credentials required by your POS provider. Klyra never sends orders or changes till settings: it only receives the sales already recorded on the till.
Authorising access
Authorisation happens through an integration key generated by Klyra or by your POS provider, depending on the system. This key securely links the till to the correct site, so sales cannot end up attached to the wrong location.
- Unique integration key per site
- Access can be revoked at any time
- No automatic changes to till settings
Checking connection status
After connecting, the POS page shows a connection status: active, pending, or not connected. An active status with a recent last-sync time confirms data is coming through correctly.
First test sync
It is good practice to ring up a test sale on the till and check it appears in today’s sales within a few minutes, before relying on the connection for a real service.

- Sales come through but on the wrong site → till assigned to the wrong site during setup → fix the site assignment in the POS configuration.
- No sales arrive after connecting → sync not yet started on the POS provider side → wait for the first cycle or contact the POS provider’s support.
- The integration key is rejected → insufficient permissions on the POS account → request admin access from whoever manages the till system.
Domande frequenti
Can Klyra send commands to the till?
No, the connection is one-way: Klyra only receives sales data and never controls or modifies the physical till.
Can I connect several tills to the same site?
Yes, you can connect multiple tills to one site and their sales are added together in today’s sales.
What happens if I revoke access?
The connection stops immediately and new sales stop importing until you reconnect the till.
Do I need to reconnect after a POS update?
It depends on the provider: if the integration key stays valid, the connection keeps working without any action.
