How to create a recipe draft by importing a document or photo, and how to request to collaborate on a recipe from another location.
Klyra lets you create a recipe draft starting from an existing document, photo or PDF instead of typing everything from scratch, and lets you collaborate on recipes created at another location in the same organization through a request approved by the recipe's owner.
What you can import
From the recipe import page you can upload a file by dragging it or selecting it, or take photos live with the built-in scanner. Accepted formats are images (JPEG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC), PDF, text files and Word documents, up to 20 MB per file.
How automatic analysis works
The document is analyzed to recognize the title, ingredients and preparation steps; the system then tries to match each recognized ingredient to an existing product in the warehouse catalog. The result is always saved as a draft recipe, never published automatically.
Reviewing the imported draft
After importing you're taken directly to the new recipe's page: it's essential to check that ingredients, quantities and steps are correct and that the catalog matches are right before publishing it.
What collaborating on a recipe means
A draft recipe created at another location in the same organization can be completed together: anyone who isn't the creator or already a collaborator can send a collaboration request with a message, which the recipe's owner can approve or reject.

Approving or rejecting a request
Whoever manages the recipe sees the list of received requests with the requester's name, message and date. From there they can approve it, making the requester a collaborator on the recipe, or reject it.
Status of your own request
Whoever sent a request sees whether it's still pending or already approved, and cannot send a second one until the first is handled or once they've already become a collaborator.

Steps
- Open Recipes and choose to import a new recipe
- Upload a file or take photos with the built-in scanner
- Wait for the automatic analysis of the document and the catalog matching
- Open the created draft and check ingredients, quantities and steps
- Fix any incorrect catalog matches
- To collaborate on a recipe from another location, open the draft and send a collaboration request with a message
- Wait for the recipe's owner to approve the request
Common issues
- Import fails with a quota error → the automatic import usage limit has been reached → wait for the quota to renew or ask an admin to increase it
- The uploaded file is rejected → the format or size exceeds the allowed limits → use an image, PDF, TXT or Word file up to 20 MB
- Imported ingredients don't match the catalog → the automatic matching didn't find or picked the wrong product → manually fix the link in the recipe page before publishing
- The request collaboration button is missing → you're already the creator or a collaborator on the recipe, or the recipe is no longer a draft → check the recipe's status and creator
- The collaboration request stays pending for a long time → the recipe's owner hasn't reviewed it yet → follow up directly with the owning location through the message or other channels
